Michael Freethy’s journey in the world of sponsorship marketing has been anything but linear. Michael’s interest in media and film brought him to Brock University (St. Catharines) to complete
a B.A. Honours in Film Studies followed by an M.A. in Film Studies at Carleton University (Ottawa). His plunge into the ‘real world’ led him to undertake a variety of marketing positions in the arts for various not-for-profit, municipal government, and private sector organizations.
Michael’s passion for building meaningful business relationships and hitting sponsorship revenue targets is being fulfilled in his current role as the Marketing and Partnerships Coordinator with the City of Richmond Hill. He’s also the proud father to a not-so-little guy named Jude and husband to his best friend, Leslie. Michael loves to talk shop, but will happily engage in any conversations related to Star Wars, Green Day, or Stanley Kubrick.
